Over the years, I have had a lot of workspaces and offices, but this one was one of the coolest. This was my office when I worked as the Art Director at STILLEN. It was in a remote part of the building, near the server room with the A/C cranked and the lights off it was a great place to spend a workday living in Newport Beach CA. The office had a door that lead directly to one of the workshops and the warehouse. When the guys in the shop were working on a Ford GT or a Nissan GTR, I could hear the engine revs as they pulled in and out. It was a HUGE space, with room enough for a full size old school drafting board and about 30 feet of desktop space that I had arranged in a huge square. It also had direct roof access and a spray booth right off the workspace.
I had a large format printer, a laser printer, a mac, a pc and a 5.1 surround sound system AND a fridge. Mix that with an extremely light workload and a whole bunch of automotive design stuff to work on – it was a pretty cool space. The coolest part was that when I was drawing, people would walk in, and walk right out again – very little to disturb me from creativity.
